Getting started with animal shelter photography?
It’s the perfect place to make a difference in an animals life, and make you a better photographer in a hurry. Taking photos at a shelter is a lot different than a private photo shoot. The pace is faster, and the environment is hectic sometimes, but there’s nothing more rewarding than knowing you made a difference.
Photo retouching (editing) is crucial to getting these animals placed in homes. Your photos MUST grab their attention. The better you get, the more animals will be placed in homes because of you.
You can use your cellphone if your budget won’t allow you to get a camera, but you will be limited in what you can do under certain lighting conditions.
